  • Envisioning Every project should start with this process. Hope in the Community has access to experienced vision enablers who can help faith and voluntary sector groups to examine critically their motivation and establish clear aims and objectives;

  • Consultancy Once a vision has been established, Hope in the Community can help with the planning process and by effecting introductions to specialists who can be involved in carrying the project forward;

  • Feasibility Study This is another very important step in the process and follows on from the establishment of the vision. It serves to check the validity, practicality and sustainability of the vision. Hope in the Community has access to individuals and organisations who can manage or assist in this process;

  • Building Design Projects often involve the need either for design of new buildings or for re-design of existing buildings. Hope in the Community can introduce clients to experienced professionals who can guide them through the, often complex, areas of design, planning, estimating, tendering and contract management;

  • Business Planning The creation of a detailed Business Plan is essential both to provide information and reassurance to funding agencies and as a means of controlling and monitoring the business. Hope in the Community can assist in its creation;

  • Organisational Planning Early consideration needs to be given not only to how any preparatory project is managed but how the resulting activities are managed. Questions such as “is this to be managed through existing organisational structures?” or “does this require a new structure to be established?” need to be answered. Hope in the Community can guide clients through that process;

  • Project Management Throughout the whole range of activities surrounding voluntary sector projects, Hope in the Community can provide as little or as much support as clients need, right up to the provision of a Project Manager to guide them through the whole process;

  • Fund Sourcing No project can proceed without funding. Members of the Hope in the Community management team have a detailed understanding of a wide range of both capital and revenue funding sources and can identify appropriate ones to approach in each case, as well as giving guidance on the completion of funding applications;

  • Business Support The usefulness of Hope in the Community does not end when a project is up and running. Support can continue in the areas of recruitment, training, payroll management, accountancy services, website design and management - to name only a few;

  • Information Hope in the Community can link clients to many sources of information relevant to the running of regeneration projects, as well as to details of legal requirements in such areas as Employment, Health and Safety, Environment and Data Protection;

  • Networking Introductions can be made, by agreement, to other clients running similar projects so that they can share experiences and give one another advice and mutual support. Hope in the Community really can provide an umbrella of support throughout the planning and execution of voluntary sector projects.
